Why should we elope?

Six reasons you should forego a huge wedding and run off to elope.

You can show this to your parents when you're trying to explain why this was totally the right decision.

1. Budget

Eloping means you can spend your money where you want. When you aren't paying for meals, seating, favors, and drinks for 150+ people; you can afford your dream photographer, dress, florist, destination, honeymoon, and decor. Hello, Nashville’s waterfalls, or Georgia’s mountains, or the deserts of Austin, TX. Your options are limitless.

2. Intimacy

When you elope, the focus of your whole day is your love. Don't get me wrong, we love our friends and family. Your day is about you and your lover though. You don't have to spend precious moments making small talk with relatives you haven't seen in a decade. You won't spend your time making sure your bridal party and families are happy. Your day should be completely yours and eloping guarantees that.

5. Adventure

The norm isn’t you and never has been. You have always marched to the beat of your own drum. Your wedding day shouldn’t be any different.

Less talk, more action. You can make your elopement part of your honeymoon and enjoy more time soaking each other in and less time planning and worrying.

6. Because you damn well please.

If you want to run away to a waterfall to say your vows, then go grab Waffle House in your wedding getup on your day... DO IT. If it authentically feels like you as a couple, then make it happen. It's no one else's day, so make your day as free-wheelin' as you see fit.

3. Better for Nature

The average wedding produces 400 lbs of trash and 63 tons of CO2. Eloping is an Earth-friendly alternative. Guests don't have to travel to get to you. There is no food waste. You're avoiding one-use forks, plates, napkins, sparklers, etc. Our environment will thank you!

4. Less Stress

Planning a wedding can put so much stress on your relationship, your family, and your friends. Your wedding day should not be a task-- it should be an experience.

If you’re introverted or just super nervous in front of crowds, then you don’t have to sweat standing in front of everyone you know while reading super intimate words about your love for your partner.

Eloping takes the pressure off to appease anyone's expectations, so you can focus on your own. The day is yours to make exactly as you want.
